Certified Nursing Assistant:
General Summary
- To perform non-professional services in caring for personal needs and comforts of residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards governing the facility
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State of Alabama
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of High School education or GED
- Must speak and understand English
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly
- Ability to Read and Write in English
- Ability to communicate with Residents, families, personnel and support agencies
- Ability to remain calm under stress
Hatley Health Care & Rehabilitation offers assistance with CNA programs.
CNA Program details: CNA certification classes are two weeks long. Classes are from 7:30AM-4PM. Scholarship opportunities may be available to those that live within 30 miles of the school. A $50 registration fee is required to enroll. State testing fees are not included in the tuition costs. The school partners with a local facility to conduct clinical lessons. No guarantee of employment is made. Students that apply and are hired by local partner may be reimbursed for the registration fee and testing fees if certain requirements are met.
Licensed Practical Nurse:
General Summary
- To supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility in accordance with current Federal, Sate, and local standards governing the facility and as directed by the Director of Nursing and Administrative staff to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
- LPNs are to exercise supervisory authority even at times that RN supervisors are on duty and must exercise discretion and independent judgment to ensure proper discipline and productivity.
Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must speak and understand English.
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly
- Ability to communicate with Residents, families, personnel and support agencies
- Ability to remain calm under stress
Registered Nurse:
General Summary
- To provide the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards governing the facility and as directed by the Director of Nursing and Administrative staff to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
- Registered nurses are to exercise supervisory authority even at times that the DON/ADON supervisors are on duty and must exercise discretion and independent judgment to ensure proper discipline and productivity.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Program Requirements
To enroll in the CNA program, applicants must:
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Complete a background check
